CREAMY BEEF AND SHELLS RECIPE
A quick / easy ground beef recipe is a pasta dish that will be on your table all week! So creamy and so comforting!
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of pasta shells medium
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- 1 pound of ground beef.
- 1/2 medium sweet onion, diced.
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning.
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour.
- 2 cups of beef broth.
- 1 (15 ounces) can tomato sauce.
- 3/4 cup thick cream.
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste.
- 6 ounces extra grated cheddar cheese, about 1 1/2 cups.

Instructions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to the packing instructions; drain well.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until golden, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef during cooking; drain the excess fat. Put aside.
- Add the onion to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until translucent. Stir in garlic and Italian seasoning until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute.
- Gradually add beef broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until mixture is reduced and slightly thickened, about 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in pasta, beef and heavy cream until warm, about 1-2 minutes; Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in cheese until melted, about 2 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
